Construction of this Roman Renaissance building finished in 1917 and its 262-foot-tall dome remains a landmark in the city’s skyline. Overlooking the Missouri River, the art collections and museum within celebrate the Show-Me State’s history, culture, industry, and notable figures. Today this National Register of Historic Places designee is the workplace of the legislative and executive branches.
