Evolving from the YF-17, this fighter became the Navy’s answer to a true multi-mission aircraft. This fighter joined the Navy in 1980 as an adaptable, pilot-friendly aircraft. 
It played a prominent role in the Gulf War, scoring the Navy’s only MiG kills. Still active in its Super Hornet form, it also remains the jet of choice for the Blue Angels.
