Established in 1874, this pioneering institution was the first zoo in the United States. It played a crucial role in early veterinary science and captive breeding techniques. 
It is now home to over 1,900 animals. The zoo features innovative exhibits like Zoo360, an overhead trail system with animals roaming above visitors, as well as immersive habitats like Big Cat Falls and PECO Primate Reserve.
