Built from sugarcane fields as a United States Navy air station, this later became the Valley Isle’s main passenger gateway. Once famous for its open-air concourses, 
garden courtyards, and breezeways, it still utilizes many outdoor spaces like its inter-island area and garden deck. Passengers are even greeted with summit views as they land between the West Maui Mountains and Haleakalā.
