The Lightship ​Columbia once guided ships to safety at the mouth of the Columbia River, a treacherous area known as the Graveyard of the Pacific. Today, visitors tour this National Historic Landmark, pilot a tugboat, participate in a Coast Guard rescue and walk the bridge of a WWII warship. The museum preserves maritime stories from the days of dugout canoes, through the age of sail, to present.
