Kings Canyon is a place that captures the imagination and instills visitors with a sense of awe. This remote canyon of sheer granite cliffs, carved by water and ice, is one of the deepest canyons in North America. The roar of the wild and scenic Kings River echo off the granite walls. The area so impressed famed 19th-century conservationist John Muir called it, a “rival” to the Yosemite Valley.
