Planning a trip? Check out Mission Dolores at the Texas Historical Commission.
Built in 1721, Mission Dolores served Spanish settlers and Native Americans who lived along and travelled El Camino Real de los Tejas. Though no structures remain, visitors can explore its story through museum exhibits. The site is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is designated as a State Antiquities Landmark.
