Near Fanning, Missouri, a welded-steel rocking chair stands 42 feet and 1 inch over old Route 66. Once the world’s largest, it was rebranded as second-largest after a 56-foot-plus chair rose in Casey, Illinois. Built in 2008 for the Fanning Outpost, it has 31.5-foot rockers and weighs about 27,500 pounds. It was required to actually rock during its Guinness push when it first won the crown.
