Plans for residential and hotel development were thwarted when the Snoqualmie Tribe purchased land adjacent to this spectacular 268-foot waterfall along the Snoqualmie (Moon) River. The tribe also took ownership of the lodge, spa and gift shop at their sacred site, where visitors hike a half mile to the falls’ base and take photographs from viewpoints and an observation deck.
