Established in 1983, this is the only wildlife refuge created specifically to safeguard Florida manatees. It protects a patchwork of small islands and shoreline in Kings Bay. In winter, posted sanctuaries restrict access so warm springs can function as a natural haven. Three Sisters Springs is one of the last unspoiled habitats left in Kings Bay.
