USS Lexington - The Blue Ghost

Commissioned in 1943, the U.S. Navy relied on this aircraft carrier to fight the Axis powers during World War II. After surviving four reports of being sunk by Japanese forces, she earned her nickname: “The Blue Ghost.” After dark, visitors admire her eerie blue glow from shore while others settle in for an overnight adventure below deck.
