Unveiled in 2021, this memorial is a testament to the 4.7 million Americans who served their nation during the Great War, including the American Expeditionary Forces led by General Pershing. At the center is a Belvedere with a rendering of Victory Medal on its floor. A 58-foot-long bas-relief sculpture, “A Soldier’s Journey,” depicts one soldier’s harrowing experience from departure to his return home.
