The submarine nicknamed “The Pearl Harbor Avenger” roamed the Pacific Ocean between 1943 and 1945, sinking Japanese ships and assisting guerilla fighters in the Philippines. Now moored in Hawai'i, the boat that also served in the Korean War invites visitors to board and learn about life in the dangerous “Silent Service.”
