One of the nation’s most spectacular Fourth of July celebrations is held in the nation’s capital. After a daytime parade, the Capitol campus hosts A Capitol Fourth, a televised event that features music’s biggest names and patriotic performances. Afterward, a fireworks show lights up the sky above the nearby National Mall.
