“One if by land, two if by sea.” In climbing to the top of this church’s bell tower on April 18, 1775, Robert Newman and John Pulling flashed two lanterns as warning that the British Army was arriving by sea. Surviving the Revolutionary War that began the next day, today it is an active Episcopal Church and features a statue of Revere’s midnight ride.
