Completed in 1874, this Neoclassical Capitol building stood sentry over the Golden State through every evolution of industry and culture. The Capitol Museum serves as a reminder of these bygone eras, with preserved historic offices and interactive exhibits. Today this National Record of Historic Places designee serves as the home of the State Legislature and Governor’s Office.
