Located north of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and along the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River, this mountain town grew thanks to its many natural assets. Though the old iron forge for which it is named no longer exists, the surviving Old Mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors honor country music and culture at the famous Dollywood theme park.
