Opened in 1914 on City Island, this is the oldest ballpark still used in the Minor League’s. On March 17, 1946, Jackie Robinson played a groundbreaking integrated spring- training game here that helped Major League Baseball toward ending its color line. Renamed in his honor, it now hosts a federal civil-rights commemorative site, the Daytona Tortugas, and the Bethune–Cookman Wildcats.
