Completed in the aftermath of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, this Nike Hercules missile site served until 1979 as a deterrence and defense against air attack from the south. Today, three missile barns, an assembly building, guard dog kennel, military barracks and restored missiles are viewed during tours available from December to March.
