These scenic Sierra Nevada cascades are viewed at a distance from the state park road, but many visitors hike in to view them up close and enjoy their cooling mist. The falls’ roaring water plunges down two long dropoffs en rout to Lake Tahoe’s gorgeous Emerald Bay. Best
viewing time is spring during the mountain snowmelt.
