Known as the “Road to Hana,” this 52-mile paved road between Kahului and Hana on Maui’s northern shore was completed in 1926. The route is winding and narrow, traversing 620 curves and 59 bridges. Along the way, drivers pass verdant valleys and rainforests, cascading waterfalls, sandy beaches, gardens, fruit stands and several state parks before reaching the small historic town of Hana.
