After the Storm King tragedy, the foundation came together as a group of volunteers to help families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families. The organization recognizes and honors all wildland firefighters, past, present, and future, and partners with private and interagency entities to bring recognition to the individuals who protect our private and public lands.
