Spectator sports are big draws, but this Midwestern city is best known for the Indianapolis 500, one of many events held in its world-famous Motor Speedway. Visitors join locals who stroll along Georgia Street and order from plentiful food trucks. Nightlife can top off a day spent taking a gondola ride on the Central Canal, walking and biking on urban trails and visiting shops and museums.
