Within a temperate rainforest outside Seward, a striking glacier moves downhill by about a foot per day. The strenuous Harding Icefield Trail ascends 3,200 feet from the Exit Glacier Nature Center while shorter trails offer striking views of the blue-hued glacier, carved valley, and vegetation resurging in the footprints of receding ice.
