This park within the Laurentian Shield was once a private hunting ground. It is now a sanctuary protecting river otters, barred owls, and one of Canada’s most successful reintroduced beaver populations. Paddlers here enjoy its many lakes and waterways, tracing centuries-old portages used by First Nations people. It is also known for its fall foliage when sugar maples burst into fiery reds and golds.
