Planning a trip? Check out the Torngat Mountains National Park website.
Accessible only by charter, this is one of North America’s most remote parks. There are no roads here. Instead, there are fjords, polar bear and caribou migration routes, and some of Earth’s oldest rocks – from nearly 4 billion years ago. This is Canada’s only national park run entirely by Inuit staff. Its name means “place of spirits” in Inuktitut.
