Atop the copper dome of the Treasure State’s Greek Neoclassical Capitol rests a statue whose origin remained a mystery for over a century. Named Montana, the statue depicts Liberty, and is a focal point of the 10-acre grounds housing all three branches of government. This National Historic Place is renowned for its massive rotunda, featuring a grand staircase and art glass barrel vault.
