Lewis and Clark admired the upland features known as the Missouri Breaks on their way up the Mighty Missouri in 1805. Today’s visitors find this 149-mile stretch of river much as the explorers did: scenic and unspoiled. Old West remnants are spotted by floaters passing by. On land, visitors fish, hike, camp and explore rural roads.
