This historic 39-room estate offers a glimpse into early 20th-century luxury. Its handcrafted woodwork, Tiffany lighting, and opulent Jacobean Revival architecture remain remarkably preserved. Built in 1908 along the shores of Lake Superior by Chester Congdon, the mansion is regarded for its sprawling formal gardens, as well as the lingering mystery of the site’s 1977 double murder.
