Perched up on a hillside, this Roman Catholic church was built in 1833 and later functioned as a hospital for Union and Confederate soldiers. It is the only church in Harpers Ferry to survive the Civil War without major damage. Its Gothic Revival architecture and well-preserved structure remain a striking feature amid this hallowed backdrop.
