Planning a trip? Check out the Log Cabin Village.
This Fort Worth living history museum, run by the city, shows what Texas life was like in the mid-to-late 1800s.
In the 1950s, local heritage groups saved six original log homes from North Texas, restored them, and opened the site in 1966. Today, visitors can explore the cabins, a working gristmill, a blacksmith shop, and a one-room schoolhouse while interpreters show how our 19th c. ancestors lived.
