This park along the Meramec River occupies over 409 acres of former Times Beach, a townsite evacuated in the 1980s. Its visitor hub is a 1935 roadhouse that cycled through names like Bridgehead Inn, Steiny’s Inn, and Galley West before becoming a Mother Road museum. This site protects the historic Meramec River bridge, as well as rare portions of original Route 66 pavement.
