Located 750 feet underground, more than 250 feet high and large enough to house six football fields, Carlsbad Cavern’s aptly named Big Room welcomes visitors to a surreal wonderland of stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, cave pearls and other water-formed geologic formations. This natural chamber is accessible to visitors by walking trail or elevator.
