Above ground is a Chihuahuan Desert landscape home to hardy plants and animals, including thousands of bats that exit Bat Cave for their evening feeds. The park’s premier treasures are underground in dozens of caves adorned with fantastic geologic formations. Self-guided and guided tours, some more physically challenging than others, take visitors through the limestone features.
