This site’s tent rocks are conical formations formed by erosion of volcanic ash, tuft and pumice deposits left behind by eruptions six to seven million years ago. Visitors admire canyon and mountain views from the Veterans’ Memorial Scenic Overlook and hike on trails through the ancestral homeland of the Cochiti people.
