In 1947, balloon debris recovered on a ranch was reported to be a crashed extraterrestrial “flying disc” spacecraft. The myth was debunked, but the Roswell Incident continues to fascinate, and people flock to the city’s UFO-themed festival, museum exhibits and roadside attractions.
