Completed in 1758 on an important trade and travel route, the fort’s most notable role was in the repelling of a Revolutionary War siege by British-commanded troops and their Native American allies. Tours of the replica fort, ranger talks, exhibits, living history demonstrations and interpretive walking trails tell the stories of the key American victory and 18th-century military life.
