The battle that gave this park its name lasted 2.5 hours and ended in American defeat, but changed the course of the American Revolution. The Continental Army met British forces on March 15, 1871, causing significant troop losses and a change in the Brits’ overall strategy. Museum exhibits and monuments detail the Southern Campaign.
