Run by the Oklahoma Historical Society, this museum interprets Route 66 as a decade-by-decade timeline, covering nearly six decades of road culture. Immersive galleries stage the Dust Bowl migration, big-band road life, a 1950s diner counter scene, and the WOW! Room. It was the nation’s first facility devoted to Route 66 history and culture. It remains the largest Mother Road museum.
