Established in 2015 as Canada’s first national urban park, this protected corridor stretches from Lake Ontario to the Oak Ridges Moraine. Over 300 archaeological sites trace 10,000 years of human history, while forests, marshes, and rivers shelter about 1,700 recorded species. Remarkably, much of the park remains active farmland, protecting working farms atop some of the rarest soils in Canada.
