Philadelphia was at one time home to author, poet, and literary critic Edgar Allan Poe. Most widely known for his poetry and short stories of murder, mystery and the macabre, Poe was a central figure in American literature. Preserved as it was in his time, Visitors can tour 532 N. 7th Street. It is Poe’s only remaining residence in Philadelphia.
