Planning a trip? Check out the Seven Islands State Birding Park website.
The diverse natural landscape of aquatic and grassland habitats makes this wildlife refuge a premier birding destination with more than 190 species of birds sighted. Several old barns are a favorite refuge for Barn Owls. The 416-acre park also serves as a research and education facility for schools and groups. Hikers, paddlers and anglers can be found along the French Broad River and park trails.
