Part of the Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park system, it is known for its aspen groves, wildflower meadows, and crystal-clear waters. This man-made reservoir was originally created for logging operations in the 1800s. Today, it’s a peaceful retreat from Tahoe’s busier areas. The extensive trails and remote camping options are part of a gateway to the backcountry of the Sierra Nevada.
