On July 19 and 20, 1848, about 300 women and men met in Wesleyan Chapel, and the women’s rights movement was born. The park preserves the chapel and homes belonging to organizers of the first Women’s Rights Convention. Declaration Park features the gathering’s Declaration of Sentiments and informative ranger talks.
