A Presidential Proclamation in 1919 created this 34-acre site in the Montezuma Valley. Used as a community center, Ancestral Puebloans abandoned the site in the late 1200s. Located between Ute Mountain and Mesa Verde, the L-shaped Lower House and D-shaped West Complex contained kivas, room blocks, and towers.
