This two-acre yard flashes along National Trails Highway as more than a thousand glass bottles catch desert light and wind. Scrap-artist Elmer Long began the installation in 2000, eventually adding over 200 welded “trees” adorned with bottles his family had collected for decades. After Long’s death in 2019, this sound-and-light landmark reopened under his son and remains a Route 66 staple.
