Along Missouri’s Route 66 stands a meticulous recreation of a Sinclair station originally opened in the 1930’s. After the first station burned, Gary and Lena Turner rebuilt the site as a shrine to the Mother Road, complete with period pumps, porcelain signage, and a trove of memorabilia. Its isolation only sharpens its time-capsule appeal and it remains one of Missouri’s most photographed roadside stops.
