Planning to visit? Check out the Custer State Park website.
One of five lakes in Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake is often considered the park’s crown jewel. Formed in 1881 when the creek at Sunday Gulch was dammed, the lake’s iconic granite adorned waters invite swimmers and paddlers to jump in. Hiking trails, a campground, a historic lodge, and general store are only a short walk from the lake.
While you're here, don't forget to grab our Custer State Park stamp.
