Weapons of destruction intended to preserve peace in a world on the brink. Hidden in the plains of South Dakota, 15 Launch Control Facilities, 150 Missile Silos, and 1,000 Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles awaited nuclear war for 30 years. Today the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility and Delta-09 Missile Silo are preserved for tours.
