Lake Placid, one of two lakes in this Gulf Coastal Plain park, is bisected by a footbridge connecting camping and recreation areas. Trails explore lakeshore, natural springs, forested areas, and historical structures including Brewer Cabin. Interpretive programming relays several thousand years of human and natural history, including the life and removal of the Chickasaw Tribe for which it is named.
